Zohran Brings Hope

All eyes were on New York City last night as the polls closed and votes were counted. Eagerly awaiting the winner for Mayor, people across the world sat on the edge of their chairs, biting unkempt fingernails. Their hair was shriveled, their eyes wide open like a barista who had too many drinks. Well, everyone can stop biting their nails in a frantic worry, for a charming democratic socialist won. Voting in not only a socialist but a Muslim is a much-needed change in the face of America’s rise of white nationalism.
Zohran Mamdani winning mayor in the Big Apple is a milestone and a moment of hope for the people of this nation. Stuck in the dark, many people of this nation have lost their way. But there are people who don’t want to leave their cave of filth and cruelty. Clinging to apathy and spreading islamophobia, the alt-right is ready to pounce. So, we must protect this new mayor at all costs.
Hopefully more cities will follow suit and finally vote in the necessary people that can bring down this American Reich of an administration. We can do this, but people must come together no matter one’s political party or religious belief. For the people, all people, and not just white Christian nationalists.
