A DEADLY CULT OF FEAR AND ANGER.
Everyone wants a place to belong, even if they do not act like it. People drift toward groups that they identify with and share a common goal or viewpoint. While it is normal behavior for people to form tribes and participate in co-op living, such as forming families, some groups drift together based on fear. The larger the group that runs off of fear, the deadlier they become.

Trumpers have become bold with their prejudices, which started with the 2016 election:
When people think of a cult, they think of a religious group living together, possibly praying to crows. However, a cult is defined as any social group that holds extreme beliefs, centered around one or more charismatic leaders. This can be political, religious, or simply because they love crows. This raises the question: Is MAGA a political movement or a cult?
MAGA is both—the extreme adoration and love they have for Trump goes beyond any other current political party. If someone criticizes Trump, most of his followers lose their mind. This is not normal behavior and falls under the cult demographic. This also describes other people's admiration for other political leaders and even idols. For example: Taylor Swift. But Swift's following is nowhere near as deadly or hateful. While some can be quite toxic, and even violent, Swifties are not on the level of hate and delusion MAGA is. I do not understand the obsession with the singer, but I do not fear those that idolize her as if she was the goddess Hekate incarnated. And Swift takes measures to reduce violence at her concerts, a trait Trump does not do.
In fact, Trump encourages chaos to further his goals and has called upon the Proud Boys to "stand back and standby" in the past during a debate with Biden:
Thus, while one accidentally formed a cult with her music and social causes, the other formed a political movement because of narcissism and a need for power that stemmed from childhood abuse.
A leader forming a cult always has an MO, and most of them often find themselves in-and-out of jail. The leader will always recruit people due to certain behaviors and characteristics. Trump preys on the uneducated and fearful, and he has admitted this multiple times in his speeches on live TV. During one speech, he had bragged about how his followers would kill for him if he asked them to.
People typically see two types of MAGA members: the uneducated person with good intentions and the person full of hate and prejudiced views with bad intentions. I prefer encountering the uneducated, as when you give them resources to educate themselves on certain topics, their eyes typically become open. But the latter seems to be the most common these days.
